The Boleslav players milked a point on the playing field of currently the last team in the league standings. Miller, the goalkeeper and marksman Holub, who scored for the third time in the third consecutive league match were the stars of the team. The Bohemians players, driven by their fans and supported by Referee Jech, dominated visually for most of the first half, however, they scored only after an hour of playing when the Boleslav players levelled the pace with the rival. For that reason, they didn’t give up after the goal conceded and deservedly equalized the score of the match. The second half was disrupted twice due to a power supply failure when it was impossible to play for fifteen, then later for ten, minutes after the floodlights over the playing field went out.
The Boleslav goalkeeper saved the first shot in the second minute, when Morávek shot from an acute angle. Neither Morávek nor Miller hit the ball after a centre pass from the right-hand side and it flew across the goal area in front of the unprotected Boleslav goal in the 6th minute. One minute later, Řezníček compelled Rada to divert the ball to a corner kick; it was taken by Hodúr to Rolko’s head but the tallest man on the playing field aimed outside the goal of the Vršovice team.
The Mladá Boleslav team finally showed their strength at the end of the first half. The cooperation of Hodúr an Sedláček looked hopeful in the 39th minute, however, it didn’t bring direct endangerment of the goal in the end.
But Škoda ran through the centre of the Boleslav defence and defeated the running out Miller with confidence in the 61st minute – 1:0.
The frequent siege of the rival’s penalty area by the Boleslav players brought no results. Neither Sedláček nor Kopic managed to score. Škoda centre-passed after overcoming Rolko from the right-hand side and a header by Ordoš at the farther post cleared the top corner of the Boleslav goal in the 72nd minute.
The floodlights over the Ďolíček stadium in Prague-Vršovice first turned off in the 73rd minute. After a fifteen-minute eclipse, football could be only played for less than five minutes, when the floodlights went out again. The Bohemians team were unable to leave their half of the playing field under the pressure of the Boleslav players during that five-minute period.
Škoda ran off Rolko and attempted to overcome Miller after the second enforced period of darkness. But the Boleslav goalkeeper was saved by falling under the feet of the forward and prevented a certain second goal in the Boleslav net. This moment influenced the score of the match substantially, as showed later.
Kysela centre-passed the ball sharply from the left after cooperation with Táborský and Holub touched it so elegantly and purposefully in front of the Bohemians goal so that goalkeeper Zich stretched to the left-hand post in vain in the 78th minute – 1:1.
The last minutes of the match brought fierce effort of the Bohemians players to seize a win, as well as the desire of the Boleslav team to take away more than one point. But both teams were successful, so they divided the points. But the Boleslav players were more satisfied in the end.
