They made use of their power-play to win clearly

The first half was started actively by Liberec who was strong in the tackle which bordered on the limit of fouls. Especially Opiela and Chramosta felt the full force of this. In the first quarter of an hour, Mladá Boleslav started playing cautiously. In the 17th minute a Papoušek free kick was only centimeters away from finding Kelič's boot as the ball was well saved in the hands of the goalkeeper Miller.

In the 23rd minute, Táborský's perfect through ball allowed Chramosta to run towards the penalty area, where he was tripped from behind by the central defender Kelič, denying him a clear chance to score. The referee Mikel ordered the Liberec's player off without hesitation. Táborský hit the player wall with the free kick and the ball deflected away for a corner. However Mladá Boleslav made use of their man advantage after only five minutes. Kalina's successful cross from the right side found an unmarked Chramosta near the goal area, and his header gave the goalkeeper Bičík no chance at all - 1:0.

In the final quarter of an hour of the first half, Mladá Boleslav created an avalanche of chances to score. However nobody could increase the narrow margin. Bulut's joy was twice spoiled as the referees first saw his offside position, and then the second attemp drew an excellent save from the goalkeeper Bičík. Procházka was unsuccessful from inside the goal area, Opiela barely missed the goal from twenty meters, Mendy hit the side netting from a narrow angle and Rolko failed to reach Táborský's chipped shot.

The second half had an unexpected introduction. The Liberec team did not care that they are playing one man short and set out to go on the attack. In the 47th minute, Kerič ran away from the central defenders, ran the ball past the pestering Dimitrovski and loaded the ammunition to Štajner who was approaching behind him. Sliding on the grass, he took a shot through the defending Rolko and beat the goalkeeper Miller at his left goalpost - 1:1.

Fortunately after a minute Mladá Boleslav was again in the lead. After cooperation with Fabián, Kulič got to the penalty area line, prepared the ball for shooting and took a hard low shot. The goalkeeper Bičík could only punch the ball away and the oncoming Procházka knocked the ball inside the net with his right knee - 2:1.
However Liberec did not give up the fight even after the second goal. In the 52nd minute, Bosančič got a chance through Kalina, but his cross shot missed Miller's goal.

In the 79th minute, Sedláček attacked from the left line and passed the ball to the running Chramosta. He ran around the goalkeeper, but having taken away his own shooting angle, he passed the ball selflessly to Kulič, who found the empty Liberec goal without any problem - 3:1. He scored his 74th goal in his 320th league match. In the last ten minutes, the Mladá Boleslav team controlled the game and led the match to a deserved winning end.
