FK Mladá Boleslav - AC Sparta Praha 1:4 (1:2)

The Boleslav players opened the match with the last champion confidently, which was reflected in several successful combinations. After half an hour of play the nets rippled three times in ten minutes.

Mladá Boleslav took the lead in the 31st minute. Sedláček grabbed the ball centre-passed in front of the Sparta goal by Kysela to Řezníček and passed it to Holub, who is excellent in similar situations. He aimed his shot unmercifully to the post on the left-hand side of goalkeeper Grigar, who stretched in vain – 1:0.

Sparta evened up in the 34th minute. Slepička managed to touch the ball centre-passed from the right-hand sideline behind the Boleslav defence line in front of the helpless goalkeeper, Miller – 1:1. In the 39th minute, a centre pass by Matušovič from the left-hand side flew across the entire Boleslav penalty area to Voříšek, who outwitted the defending Kalina and aimed his ground shot to the left-hand post of the Boleslav goal – 1:2.

Referee Kocourek affected the high quality football match insensitively in the last minute of the first half. He booked Rajnoch for a foul against Horváth and as it was already the second yellow card for the Boleslav captain, he was forced to leave the playing field involuntarily.

Ganugrava came freshly on the playing field after the break and got through a very demanding premiere in the Czech 1st Gambrinus League. Boleslav, with ten men lacked force to resist the Sparta players, who controlled the game by grouping on their own half of the playing field for long time in order to wait for a suitable moment for quickly changing the playing positions.

Kladrubský was the first to be at the ball at the closer post after a corner kick by Horváth in the 52nd minute and his header ended in the upper corner of the Boleslav goal – 1:3. The fresh Jeslínek added a fourth goal in the 89th minute after approximately a four-minute stay on the playing field. He penetrated the centre of the Boleslav defence and with confidence, defeated Miller, running out of his goal – 1:4.
