Neither of the Teams Scored but Both of Them Remained in the Qualification Game

The first half offered game with slight dominance of the home team whose attacks on the opponent's goals were more frequent than on the opposite side. Matějovský shot without preparation directly in the Landreau's gloves after cooperation with Kysela in the 12th minute. Two minutes later, the Paris goalkeeper thrown ball poorly, Poláček got to it but he did surprise Landreau with his weak shot so that the goalkeeper could rectify his mistake easily. Pecka, Kulič and Matějovský got progressively in shooting positions in the 17th minute but nothing resulted from it except for a foul committed on Matějovský just at the corner of the penalty area. Palát's header missed the goal after passing the ball from the consequent free kick. He also missed the biggest scoring chance of the home team in the 40th minute when he was alone on the boundary of the goal area in front of Landreau after Abrahams's effort and preceding unsuccessful shot of Kulič and hit only legs of the goalkeeper.
The Paris players exercised Miller in the 36th minute when the goalkeeper of Mladá Boleslav saved Pauleta's deflected shot easily. The Portuguese forward employed by the Paris club missed a big chance before in the 21st minute when he missed the goal from a ten-meter distance. Ševinský deflected a centre pass of Diane just before Pauleta to a corner kick in the 43rd minute.

The players from Paris played the complete second half in ten men without Diane who was booked twice. He saw the first yellow card for early leaving the wall before Rajnoch's free kick in the 28th minute and the second one for a foul on Poláček in the middle of the pitch in the 45th minute. The power play during the second half only emphasized playing dominance of the team from Mladá Boleslav, however it did not result in goals. The Boleslav players obtained only a number of standard kicks from frequent besiege of the Paris penalty area. Centre passes from free and corner kicks were deflected by well-built defenders of Paris SG so successfully that the goalkeeper Landreau, apparently shorter than his defenders, was not too busy. A shot of Holub who tried to shoot through a wall of defending bodies after Kulič's corner kick and Palát's pass in the 71st minute also did not get in the net. One of not many direct shots from a free kick exercised the goalkeeper of Paris in the 75th minute but he rebounded Poláček's rocket shot to a corner kick. The ball flew in the net by the right-hand post after Kulič's corner kick and Rajnoch's header in the 76th minute but Pauleta managed to kick it away in the last moment. As a right captain, he was on the correct place in the correct moment.
The Boleslav players tried to decide the match in their favour till the last minute even at the cost of opening the defence line into which the opponent team penetrated through brisk breaks. For example, Poláček and Abraham did not understand each other and three players of Paris SG suddenly ran at two defenders of Mladá Boleslav. Their effort was terminated by referees because Pauleta received a final pass in an offside position. Hellebuyck ran alone at Miller in the 68th minute after Pauleta's pass but the goalkeeper of Mladá Boleslav saved at the cost of a corner kick. Mladá Boleslav did not terminate a corner kick in the 81st minute and three opponent players rushed in a counter-attack at Matějovský defending alone. Fortunately, they spoiled their attack themselves.
Because either of the teams missed their chances, visitors left the stands of the stadium in Mladá Boleslav without seeing a goal.
