Coach Uhrin: "The Draw is a Loss, We Wanted a Win"

Neither Coach Uhrin, nor the players assumed the fatigue to be the cause of the draw; they merely acknowledged they were not at their best. "As I had only played for thirty minutes in Bucharest, I had a little easier time during the Sunday match than the other guys," the scorer of the first goal, Radim Holub said.
It was him who had the three winning points on his feet in the very end of the match. "A tremendous pity that was; that kind of situation is usually taken advantage of," he sighed over his shot to the horizontal bar. "I could feel the short regeneration break grow heavy in my feet as the end of the game was coming close," admitted Jan Rajnoch, the stopper who had joined Mladá Boleslav from Slovácko.
In spite of his pity towards his former team, now in the lowest ranks of the League roster, he very much wanted his current squad to win. He contributed a point in the 86th by a headbounce, yet he still misses the three-point reward he did not have the chance to see.
„The draw with Slovácko is a massive loss for us; we wanted to take the win. Our numerous mistakes in the defense line proved to be fatal," Coach Dušan Uhrin said. „Getting the score level cost us a great deal of strength. It is our duty now to put ourselves back together quickly, we are playing Paris Saint Germain this Thursday," Coach Uhrin supplied. He also provided an explanation regarding the differences between the team rosters between the Bucharest and Slovácko matches. He claimed he had noticed certain signs of fatigue in several players during the Saturday training session. During the press meeting that followed the match with Slovácko, some reporters tried to involve Coach Uhrin in a discussion on team's individual errors and possible roster changes related thereto. Mr. Uhrin refused any such discussion. "We play so many matches we don't have enough time to go and analyze [the games we have played]," Coach Uhrin added so as to show he is only thinking about the upcoming match, and so are the team.

Pavel Malura, the Slovácko coach, refused any contemplation whether he might have included the opponent's fatigue in his strategic plans. However, the truth was otherwise, yet not that Coach Malura acknowledged so after the game had ended. "We arrived here with respect to our opponents, and with a desire to capture the full points. We were within inches of reaching that target, yet not all of our team made a full use of their potential. Therefore, a minor mistake of one of the players cost us the three points. However, I do have to say that the home team did truly deserve their one point. We had been working on offensive line improvements under Coach Plíšek, so we rather believed we could mark a notch with today's offensive opponent," said the Slovácko coach. It has been only three weeks since he replaced his predecessor, Mr. Jiří Plíšek as the head coach.
