Home Invincibility Stopped by Slavia in Power Play

Mladá Boleslav started the match very actively and the home players rushed to the Slavia's goal. But nobody was able to overcome its guard, goalkeeper Kozáčik. On the contrary, disaster came on the goal of Mladá Boleslav in the 15th minute. Vlček succeeded to pass the ball over the goalkeeper Kučer. The defender Palát tried to substitute him on the goal line but he got the ball over the cross bar only using his hand. The referee sent Palát off and ordered a penalty kick against the goal of Mladá Boleslav. Fořt scored self-confidently from it - 0:1. However, power play of Slavia was not too much evident for the rest of the first half. There were more and more duels face to face and nervousness, many attacks were foiled by imprecise passes on wet pitch. No goal was added in the first half, but the referee showed five yellow cards.
Hopes of Mladá Boleslav for equalizing were destroyed after ten minutes of the second half by Vlček who got a nice pass from Kalivoda and the forward of Slavia beat Kučera going out of the goal from a corner of the penalty area - 0:2. The head-coach Uhrin strengthened offensive immediately when he substituted the defender Ševinský by Holub. But the Slavia players calmed by the second goal and they appeared in other good chances. The goalkeeper Kučera was very busy. Vlček, Švento, Fořt and Jarolím missed their opportunities. The players of Mladá Boleslav risked very much when they tried to push in front of the Slavia's goal even at the expense of vulnerability of their defence line. The players of Slavia threatened with breaks and succeeded in finishing one them in the 77th minute by Kalivoda who ran away along the right-hand line, sidestepped the goalkeeper Kučera who ran out of his penalty area and scored in unprotected goal of Mladá Boleslav - 0:3. Pecka hit the right-hand post of Kozáčik's goal three minutes before. The goalkeeper of Slavia was beaten only in the 88th minute. Kulič's corner kick was lifted by Brezinský standing by the closer post and Rolko's header ended in the net - 1:3. The players missed several possibilities to improve their win in the last minutes and did not beat Kučera.
