Expected Qualifying after Unsuccessful Start

Mladá Boleslav started the cup match on the pitch in Náchod similarly poorly like a year ago. Zinke remained unattended in the middle of the penalty area at a corner kick of Náchod and gave no chance to Kučera by his smashing shot just under the crossbar in the 3rd minute - 1:0. Fortunately, Sedláček beat the Náchod's goalkeeper Kobos by a nice shot already in the 15th minute - 1:1. The equalizing goal was preceded by a combination when the ball went from Palát through Poláček, Holub and Abraham up to the successful scorer. The head-coach Uhrin reacted to the unsuccessful opening by exchange of stoppers and substituted Brezinský by Vít. In spite of the fact that the players of Mladá Boleslav lacked force in duels one to one, they succeeded to overcome the opponent players in the middle of the field, which cradled their alertness. The Náchod players were close to the second leading goal. Jirman shot from a ten-meter distance after an attack of Hubek and Zinke but the goalkeeper of Mladá Boleslav Kučera supported his team by an excellent save. Hudec tripped Pecka in the penalty area three minutes before the break and experienced Holub scored from the ordered penalty kick with confidence - 1:2.
Like the Mladá Boleslav players spoiled the beginning of the match, so on the contrary they succeeded in the opening of the second half. Poláček outrun the defenders along the left-hand line in the 48th minute, Pecka missed his centre pass, Sedláček hit the post and Abraham sent the returned ball in the net - 1:3. In the 52nd minute, Abraham passed the ball nicely among the Náchod defenders to Pecka who added another goal - 1:4. The Náchod players lost the rest of verve so that work of the Mladá Bleslav team was much easier for the remaining time of the match. Poláček outrun the defenders along the left-hand line in the 65th minute in the same way like he did it many times during the match but he decided to shoot instead of expected pass this time and the ball touched the crossbar and ended in the net - 1:5. Palát's long distance shot ended in the top corner of Náchod's goal in the 73rd minute when the goalkeeper Kobos reprehensibly underestimated the path of the ball - 1:6. Holub showed two nice volleys in the last quarter, firstly after Sedláček's and secondly after Ordoš's centre pass but Kobos was always watchful. The home side succeeded in correcting the score in the 84th minute by Vácha who punished faltering of the defence of Mladá Boleslav - 2:6.
