Poláček from Sparta shall make the left side of the line-up stronger

Poláček has an experience from Slavia Prague where he performed primarily in youth teams and where he got to the adult league line-up only twice. In 2000, Most picked him out and in autumn 2005 he transferred from Most to Sparta Prague. Today, his personal records show 23 starts and 5 goals in the first league. Speedy and skilful left-footed halfback measures 173 centimetres and scales 67 kilograms. Upon the arrival of the coach Griga to Sparta Poláček fell victim of the change of the playing system (Sparta changed from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3). "In the three-member halfback there was no place remaining for me as the typical left halfback and thus I gladly accepted the offer from Mladá Boleslav. I had no other one and the one from Mladá Boleslav was very specific and solid", said Poláček after his first training in Mladá Boleslav that he attended on Friday morning (July, 21). Only after the training he signed the new four-years professional contract with the Sport Manager Zdeněk Kudela. The player stated that the new contract is not significantly different from the conditions in Sparta.

Poláček called the Mladá Boleslav Club perspective with the expectation that in the forthcoming season 2006/07 it will try to achieve the top league spots as well as the presence in European Cups. "I believe that I bring to Mladá Boleslav the experience from a leading league team as well as the experience from the international matches in which I participated with Sparta" said Poláček who believes that he can jump in the basic line-up of Mladá Boleslav even if he did not play for Mladá Boleslav a single summer preliminary match. The Mladá Boleslav's coach Uhrin remarked, "He is a left-footed player what we needed in the line-up and there is a ninety percent assumption that he will be in the basic line-up against Valarenza Oslo". He also confirmed that he had been watching Poláček long-term and that he had counted among the selected reinforcements of Mladá Boleslav team.
