Uhrin: We have to set ourselves the highest targets

The coach Uhrin expressed the satisfaction with the course and level of the summer preparation that his players completed without injuries. "I hope we will tune the form in the remaining week and I believe we will advanced over Valarenga". He also commented on the player reinforcements. "Abrahám and Riegel look excellent," praised the two mostly watched newcomers in Mladá Boleslav's strips. He said about Rolko that he needs some time for the acclimatization and Mikolanda two more weeks of a proper preparation. He named Kučera as the goalkeeper number one however he speedily added that Miller significantly improved and thus the Club disposes of two really equipollent goalkeepers. Also Uhrin and Kudela commented on the sport targets for the forthcoming season and Šeterle summarized them in three main points: "Without setting priorities we want to advance at least to the third preliminary round of the Champion's League in Europe, win the participation in some European Cup in the league and last in the domestic ČMFS Cup to the spring matches".

At the press conference Dufek remembered that when he four years ago just in holiday Inn Prague Congress Centre announced the project with a five-years prospect for an entrance of Mladá Boleslav football to the international scene many of the present journalists disbelievingly smiled. "We succeeded one year earlier" said proudly. However he immediately expressed regret about disparagement of Mladá Boleslav success as well as the level of domestic league by journalists. The Club Marketing and Communication Manager Sylva Hottková supplemented Dufek's words by reading the official declaration that Mladá Boleslav Football Club is prepared to take legal steps against press articles which devaluate its reputation. "I considered leaving the football union when the unreasonable seditious campaign against the Mladá Boleslav's placing on the second place of the League started after the end of the last season" Dufek added.

Jaromír Šeterle criticized that journalists and people in pubs separate the national team and the league in the Czech football in the sense that they in the long term discommend the level of the domestic top competition. "Football is just one, there is no difference between the national team and the league. The future of the Czech football is not so dreadful and there is not such gap between the national team and the league as people say and journalists write", stated the General Manager of Mladá Boleslav. He regretted that league club players, he named e.g. Kulič, Matějovský, Pospěch, Sivok, Zápotočný and Abrahám, did not get a proper chance from the coach Brückner to fight for a national team T-shirt. Surely cannot be said and written that there is no replacement for current national team players when no potential replacement was tried.
